Kyle Connor’s Olympics haven’t ended the way he wanted.

The Winnipeg Jets’ star forward will not play in the gold medal game. It’s a scratch again.
Team USA plays Canada on Sunday for all the marbles, but Connor will only be able to watch.
Why isn’t Kyle Connor playing today?
Kyle Connor is not injured. He just got scratched.
It’s the fourth consecutive healthy scratch for Connor.
He played the first two games of the tournament and then was left out of the preliminary final against Germany. They were also left out of the quarterfinals against Sweden and the semifinals against Slovakia.
The 29-year-old winger simply didn’t play well enough. He did not register a shot on goal in the first two games of the Olympic Games.

Scratching Connor has enabled the activation of Utah Mammoth star Clayton Keller, who has been buzzing around the ice all tournament long.
Connor has 64 NHL points this season (25 goals, 39 assists), but he hasn’t transferred them to Italy.
Turns out Connor didn’t even get another chance after those first two quiet games.
He would still love a gold medal, but he won’t have any way to impact Sunday’s championship game.
