Will Nick Herbig play in Week 17? New injury update on Steelers EDGE

With TJ Watt set to miss his third straight game while recovering from lung surgery, the Pittsburgh Steelers received exciting news about another talented edge rusher.

After practicing fully on Friday, Nick Herbig (hamstring) was cleared to play against the Cleveland Browns in Week 17, with no injury designation for Sunday’s matchup.

Herbig injured his hamstring in the Week 15 win over the Miami Dolphins, leaving the Steelers with Alex Highsmith and rookie Jack Sawyer as the starting outside linebackers last Sunday against the Detroit Lions.

In his last performance against Cleveland in Week 6, Herbig sacked then-starting quarterback Dillon Gabriel twice in the win and will look to have an equally impressive performance at the expense of the Browns’ new starting quarterback, Shedeur Sanders.
