The Wisconsin Badgers hit another low on Saturday night, falling to their rival Iowa Hawkeyes 37-0.

Wisconsin is now 2-4 (0-3 Big Ten) through six games. Their current four-game losing streak, all to Power Four opponents, includes a point differential of 126-34 (an average score of 31.5-9). Dating back to last season, the team has lost eight straight games to Power Four teams. Two of them have been against Iowa, arguably Wisconsin’s closest similar program, by a combined margin of 79-10.

In short, Wisconsin isn’t just losing games to tough competition. He hasn’t been remotely competitive against any Power Four team since last November.

Saturday’s loss, a humiliating home loss that saw Wisconsin shut out at home for the first time since 1980, seems more like a program casualty than just a forgettable moment in a season that is quickly becoming filled with them. As results become increasingly uneven, it is increasingly difficult to see the program moving forward without significant changes.

Wisconsin fans, former players and media reacted like this. Here’s some of that reaction.
