On April 3, the senior defenseman was named the 2026 USCHO Player of the Year. The Badgers proceeded to release her updated resume, which includes incredible honors starting with being an Olympic gold medalist and NCAA national champion.

Harvey is the centerpiece of Wisconsin’s tremendous defense, one that led the team to its second consecutive National Championship. The 2026 Patty Kazmaier Award appeared to be the tip of the iceberg, as Harvey was also named WCHA Defenseman of the Year and Player of the Year.
If that wasn’t enough, Harvey was a first-team ACHA All-American. She was also named to the NCAA All-Tournament team and it’s important not to forget the fact that she was this year’s Olympic MVP.
Now, Harvey can add USCHO Player of the Year to the long list of accolades she has received this season alone. Apparently no defenseman has put up the offensive numbers that Harvey has, and this is a player that the all-time winningest coach in NCAA history will undoubtedly have a hard time replacing. No matter how good Mark Johnson has been and will continue to be throughout his career, there will never be another Caroline Harvey to play for the Badgers.Advertisement
