Gonzaga Bulldogs great and two-time West Coast Conference Player of the Year, 6-0 forward Yvonne Ejim, has a chance to be a part of her home country’s inaugural WNBA team, Toronto Tempo.
The native of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, last played with IDK Euskotren in San Sebastián, Spain, averaging 9.8 points on a shooting split of 50.3 percent on two-pointers/37.8 percent on three-pointers/75.0 percent from the free throw line and 5.9 rebounds in 27 games in the Endesa Women’s League.
Gonzaga’s all-time leading scorer (men’s or women’s) was originally selected by the Indiana Fever with the 33rd overall pick in the third round of the 2025 WNBA Draft, but was waived before the 2025 season began.

Toronto now has 16 players under contract. For the regular season, each WNBA team is allowed to have only 12 players on its roster with two development slots. The Tempo will have to reduce its roster before opening its inaugural season against the Washington Mystics at the Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto on Friday, May 8.
