New boss Rob Edwards insists there is still enough time for Wolves to save themselves.

Bottom-placed Wolves are eight points behind 17th-placed Burnley heading into Saturday’s visit to Crystal Palace.

Edwards turned the Championship promotion race around after leaving Middlesbrough second for a relegation battle at Molineux.

Wolves have not won in the Premier League since April and have only two points from 11 games, a record that resulted in the sacking of Vitor Pereira earlier this month.

“I’m not looking at the table right now, just the next session and the next game,” Edwards said. “I will be clear with the players that this is what we are going to do to win football games and score points.

“It’s going to come from hard work. There’s a lot of things behind that, but I’ll make it clear to the guys what that is and what my non-negotiables are. The players want that.

“We will also support them and believe in them. I’ve told them that. We can’t look too far into the future and know where we are with the difference right now.”

“Every training session, we live it every day. There is still enough time. I understand that we want to get results quickly and that will help with that belief.”
