The end of the Newcastle United, Jacob Murphy, was not available for his victory in the League Cup over Bradford City earlier this week, but Eddie Howe has confirmed that it is in shape and available for Arsenal over the weekend, they are only careful.

“Okay,” Howe said. “It is a problem that we are handling. Sometimes, with the problems of Achilles, they are somewhat continuous and the players handle them. We have had several in the last seasons that have done it.

“It is in that place where it is in shape and available, and it has been, but maybe certain days have been quite sore, so we have only tried to handle its load.”

Jacob Ramsey and Yane Wissa are probably out until after October’s international break, with Ramsey working to return from a standing problem and the summer firm Wissa recovering from a knee injury.

Fabian Schar could return before the break, but it seems that this particular accessory has arrived too soon.

In better news for Newcastle, Anthony Gordon made his return from the suspension against Bradford City earlier this week, after having spent three out of action games, although he played and scored against Barcelona in the Champions League in the middle of that national prohibition.

Gordon’s red card against Liverpool means that he has only played 135 minutes of the Premier League football this season, and will seek to build on that on Sunday.
