san francisco — Police were investigating Sunday after five people were injured, one seriously, in a weekend shooting outside a San Francisco supermarket, authorities said.
Officers responding to reports of a shooting around 9 p.m. Saturday found several victims near a Safeway in the outer Richmond neighborhood, according to the city Police Department.
Police said in a statement that a man suffered life-threatening injuries and four juveniles suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital.

There were no arrests and investigators did not immediately release suspicious information.
The shooting scattered bystanders. Tommy Corcoran, 19, told the Chronicle that he hid behind a tree trunk in Golden Gate Park after hearing gunshots and seeing people running away.
“This kind of violence does not represent who we are as a city, and we will never tolerate it,” San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie said in a statement.
Investigators asked witnesses or anyone with information to contact the police department.
