TIFIN.AI has created TIFIN Australia, expanding its presence overseas as it continues to develop its operations beyond existing markets.
The move comes after the company’s previous expansion into Japan and India.
The new operation is part of its broader effort to combine its artificial intelligence capabilities in wealth services with local management and partnerships.
TIFIN Australia was established as a joint venture between TIFIN.AI and an executive team led by Marcus Price, former CEO of Iress and Pexa, who takes on the role of Executive Chairman.
Justin Schmitt, previously COO of Iress, has been named CEO.
The Australian business will operate independently under Price’s direction.
The company said it intends to introduce AI-based technology already used in the US and other markets to the Australian wealth sector.
It will focus on native AI systems for financial advisors, wealth managers and businesses in Australia, with the aim of supporting more personalized and scalable financial advice.
