Las Vegas Raiders rookie running back Ashton Jeanty may not be having the strong rookie season he was expected to have when he was the sixth overall pick in the draft.

Boise State has not averaged four yards per carry in seven of the Raiders’ (2-7) nine games this season. He averages 3.8 yards per carry overall. While he hasn’t consistently hit a big block, Jeanty also hasn’t proven himself to be a generational player yet.

But Jeanty excels in one area: a very vital area.

The kid is finding the end zone.

Jeanty has seven touchdowns (four as a running back, three as a receiver). He is tied for second-most touchdowns by a running back through his first nine games behind Hall of Famer Marcus Allen.

For an offense that averages just 15.4 points per game, having a running back with a feel for the end zone is a necessary quality.
