Key Takeways
-
Chick-Fil-A comes to Starbucks with a new drink-centered concept.
-
The new menu will have innovative drinks, including specialized coffees, milkshakes and juices, but will not offer exclusive foods or drinks of Chick-Fil-A.
-
The independent concept joins expansion projects, such as Little Blue Menu, in the continuous innovation efforts of Chick-Fil-A.
Chick-Fil-A can be known for its classic chicken nuggets, but fast food chain offers extend far beyond their basic tenders and signature sauce. From seasonal selections to turns in the menu favorites, the chain (and its devout fans) always come up with new offers and hacks that somehow make the menu even better. And just when we think CFA dominated fast food chicken nugget, the brand is once again surprising fans, but instead of a new menu element, Chick-Fil-A is launching what can be its biggest concept so far.
Chick-Fil-A is launching a concept of drinks this fall
Move, Starbucks: Chick-Fil-A is preparing to launch a new concept dedicated exclusively to drinks. According to a press release, the innovation brand of the fast food chain, Red Wagon Ventures, is launching an independent centered in the drink called “Daybright” at the end of this autumn in Georgia.
Unlike a typical Chick-Fil-A restaurant, Daybright locations will not serve chicken nuggets, crunchy fries or any of the exclusive sandwiches by which the chain is known. On the other hand, Daybright, which will open in the Atlanta metropolitan area, will focus solely on drinks, and no, the beloved CFA is not in the menu.
In fact, Daybright will not superpose with CFA current drinks and, instead, it will offer innovative drinks creations, including specialized coffees, cold -pressed slopes and juices. And although the exact details are still secret, a brand spokesman told People Magazine that more information about the Daybright concept will be revealed in the coming months. However, what we know is that the exclusive lemonades of Chick-Fil-A, frozen lemonade, milkshakes and selected coffees will not be offered in Daybright.
CFA’s expansion is not the first time that a fast food brand has turned to the beverage industry. Of course, McDonald’s launched McCafé in the United States in 2001, and Taco Bell recently opened its first live coffee shop windows in California.
As for Chick-Fil-A specifically, Daybright is another addition to the Wagon Venture Network portfolio. In addition to more than 3,200 CFA locations throughout the country, the chain also has a small blue menu location in College Park, Maryland. The Little Blue Menu restaurant has an expanded CFA menu and test elements for the national chain, which includes pizzas, chicken wings, fried sweet potatoes, unique drinks and desserts. And although Daybright will not offer food, the new concept can also serve as a test market for nationwide drinks of Chick-Fil-A nationwide.
While it can be too early to say exactly how delicious Daybright will be, if the current Chick-Fil-A and Little Blue Menu offers are an indication, I think it is sure to say that fans are in a gift.
