It is not so often that a season with the Harlem Globetrotters prepares one to lead a team of the G League, but that is exactly the path that was taken by the current president of Basketball Operations of Maine Red Claws, Dajuan Eubanks took the work he has today. It was an atypical route to the concert for Eubanks, but then there is not really any well -used path towards such publication, save experience with the sports of basketball and sports more generally.
And the president of Maine Celtics has collected his fair part of reaching the Globetrotters as a player to Portland as executive of the G League, over time learning the advertising trade of live events for the GMR marketing that eventually took him to the team then known as Maine Red Claws, today CTICs of Maine CTICs. Talking to the Business Journal David Brouchton sport reporter, Eubanks opened on his trip to Maine and beyond in a broad interview, and proved his time with the Globetrotters to take him on the way where he is today.
“We were committed to fans in public during the day and in the sands every night, so it was about building relationships and responding to the crowds at the time,” he recalled. “So, combined with my business title, it really put me in the trajectory I am still today.”
Despite the recent Cooper Flagg bomb, Maine is not exactly a high -level basketball seedbed, so it could surprise us to see how Eubanks has taken Portland and Maine Celtics. But the team executive has been thriving there since he visited his then wife in recent years. “It has been great for me to be able to develop personally here and enter into my voice and show my skill set professionally, particularly as a minority individual in Maine,” Eubanks said.
“It has been a great place for me to really enter my account and build a great community that supports me and my family. The family does not always have to be blood, you know, and I have many friends and family here.”
