Kim Son Gyong began his speech to praising the opening speech of the UN Secretary General, António Guterres, on September 23, where he said that no state can address world problems alone and promising a UN reform.
Although Mr. Kim recognized the UN role in the promotion of multilateral cooperation to address poverty, disease and sustainable development, he said that the organization also faced “unprecedented severe crisis”, which blamed “high variety and arbitrariness and greed of hegemonic powers.”
“The UN cannot be represented by a certain individual state or a small group of states,” he said.
Developing countries deserve a greater voice
He continued to suggest that the UN “expand and strengthen the representation of developing countries that occupy an absolute majority of the UN membership and to correct the inappropriate structure led by the west in the Security Council.”
The North Korea Minister pointed out the alliance between the United States, Japan and the Republic of Korea saying that “it could quickly evolve towards a more offensive and aggressive military block.”
It was only for the powerful military deterrence of his country that “the will of enemy states to cause a war is completely contained.”
Mr. Kim said that nuclear weapons were now enshrined in the Constitution of North Korea as a “sacred and absolute thing that can never be touched and manipulated.”
Imagining denuclearization in the state “is equivalent to demanding that you deliver sovereignty,” he added.
“We will never give up nuclear, which is our state law, national politics and sovereign power, as well as the right to existence,” he emphasized.
Self -sufficiency economy
Mr. Kim announced that, as part of the effort to develop a self -sufficient national economy and to meet the production objectives, the completion of a five -year economic plan is “definitely within reach.”
He said that 50,000 new houses are being built in Pyongyang, while a new rural development policy produced “tangible results.”
The vice minister asked Israel to put an end to his genocide and “crimes against humanity” in Gaza and retire from the enclave.
“The RPDC will promote multifaceted exchanges and cooperation with the countries that respect and adopt friendly approaches towards it,” he concluded.
