Washington (Reuters) -a FBI agent felt relieved of the duty to decline to organize a “walk of the authors” of the former office director, James Comey, in front of the cameras of the media after Comey was accused of Federal last month, said four people informed about the matter on Friday.

Comey was accused on September 25 of making false statements and obstructing an investigation of Congress, in a dramatic escalation of the remuneration campaign of President Donald Trump against his political enemies.

An FBI spokeswoman declined to comment on personnel matters.

Reuters could not immediately determine how or when FBI’s senior officials wanted to organize Comey to the Washington Field Office of the office. Only one citation was issued to appear before the court in the case, and not an arrest warrant. However, the defendants will often inform a FBI field office for their reservation after a judicial citation is issued.

Comey, who has denied irregularities, will appear in court in Alexandria, Virginia, on the outskirts of Washington, on Thursday.

A Comey lawyer declined to comment.

Trump fired Comey in 2017, early in his first term in office. Since then, he has regularly attacked the management of Comey of the FBI investigation that detailed the contacts between the Russians and the Trump campaign in 2016.

Trump has threatened to imprison his political rivals since he first ran for president in 2015, but the measure against Comey marks the first time that his administration has managed to ensure an accusation of a large jury against one of them. The Trump Department of Justice is also investigating other antagonists, including the General Prosecutors of New York Letitia James and John Bolton, who served as a national security official in Trump’s first mandate.
