London (AP) – Harrods, luxury British department stores warned some clients that their personal data may have been taken in a violation of their online systems.

The company said Friday night that some names and contact data of its customers online were taken after one of its third -party suppliers systems was compromised.

“We have informed affected customers that the impacted personal data are limited to basic personal identifiers, including the name and contact data, but do not include accounts or payment details,” he said in a statement.

He added that the incident was “isolated” and has been contained, without providing more details.

Harrods said that data violation was not connected to an incident in May, when it restricted Internet access in its sites as a precautionary measure after an attempt to obtain unauthorized access to its systems.

Four people were arrested in July under suspicion of their participation in cyber attacks against Harrods and two other leading British retail chains, Marks & Spencer and the Cooperative and Harrods. The suspects were rescued waiting for new consultations.

Several other cyber attacks have signed up for high -profile British companies in recent months.

Last week, Jaguar Land Rover, the largest car manufacturer in Great Britain, said that its production lines will remain closed until at least October 1, after a cyber attack in August.

On Friday, the BBC and other British media reported that the computer pirates stole information about thousands of children from Kido, a chain of nurseries in London, and published some of the photos and details of the children in Darknet.

The Metropolitan Police Force said that investigations on “a ransomware attack against a London -based organization” were ongoing and arrests have not been made.
