Eddie Howe says that Newcastle United will do everything possible to “protect” Lewis Miley after the adolescent received “totally unjustified” criticism on social networks.
Miley chose to limit the answers to a position that made in X to score her 50th game of the first Newcastle team against Bournemouth on Sunday. It is understood that this was a caution since it is still young.
The 19 -year -old was criticized by a minority of social networks, who questioned the credentials of the first team of the midfielder during the goals without the Vitality Stadium, and Howe said he was “totally unjustified.”
Howe knows that such comments can affect players if they “absorb it”, but Newcastle chief coach stressed Miley was “mentally strong.”
“Lewie is an outstanding player and a player who need to support and protect,” he said. “Sometimes, when you look at him, you forget how young he is because of his stature and maturity both inside and outside the field.
“All players need support, help and guidance. Any other, would encourage players to disconnect and try to listen to people who really matter in their lives as their family, friends and, of course, we will do everything possible to support and treat it as the talent that we know is.”
