Crawfordsville, Indiana: Jett Lawrence (1: 55,866) recorded the fastest return in the MXGP class, Justin Cooper (1: 58,594) was faster in MX2, and Hunter Lawrence (1: 58.217) published the fastest moment in the open class on the first day of racing for the nations motocross in Ironman Raceway.
While ran by the honor of different countries, the regular runners of the Supermotocross League were well represented on a track they challenged a little less than two months ago in the National Pro Motocross.
The US team, Team Australia and Team Belgium placed their three runners in the top five in free practice.
The United States team was led by Cooper’s fastest lap, which was set late in the session. Cooper was more than eight tenths faster than Kay of Wolf from the Netherlands (1: 59,442). Belgium was represented by Sacha Coenen (1: 59,668) in third place.
RJ Hampshire (2: 00.037) finished second behind Hunter and with CALVIN VLAANDENER (2: 00.191) embroidery from the Netherlands in third place. Liam Everts (2: 01.270) kept alive Belgium gusts with the fifth time faster.
In the MXGP class, Jett Lawrence (1: 55,866) was the fastest in general, since Down Under team seeks to defend Mxon’s victory last year. ELI TOMAC (1: 58.598) landed fourth in the table.
Lucas Coenen was third representing Belgium.
Not officially, with a combined seven in practice, the US team. And Australia are in an early dead heat.
