CF Industries Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:CF) is among the Stocks take center stage as Jim Cramer reviews the S&P 500’s top performers and Nasdaq 100’s biggest laggards during the first quarter.. Cramer highlighted the reasons for the share price action, as he commented:
The seventh-best performer on the S&P was CF Industries, up nearly 68%, which makes some of the key inputs for fertilizers. Even before the war, we had the beginning of a bull market in agriculture. Then, when the Persian Gulf was blocked, we realized there would be a fertilizer shortage. That’s bad for almost everyone, including you, because the price of food is going to go up. But it’s great for CF Industries and its compadres. Not many of them though.
