Massimiliano Allegri confirms that Niclas Fullkrug and Strahinja Pavlović will not be available against Como, while Rafael Leao is “fine” and Santiago Giménez will not play again until “the end of March”.

Milan are preparing for the Serie A match against Como on Thursday.

It is a rescheduled match from Week 16, which was not played in December with Milan involved in the Italian Super Cup alongside Napoli, Inter and Bologna.

Milan are unbeaten in 18 league games, but drew against Genoa and Fiorentina in the previous two rounds.

Allegri provided the latest team news in a pre-match press conference on Wednesday.

“Fullkrug is out, along with Pavlovic, who has nine points in his head,” Allegri said via Milannews.

“Fullkrug has a bad knock on his toe which will keep him out today. Hopefully he will be back on Sunday, otherwise against Roma.”

Italian sources have claimed in recent days that Rafael Leao could miss the match with an adductor problem, but Allegri said: “Rafa is fine”, meaning the Portuguese is expected to start tomorrow.

Mexican international Giménez has been out of action for several weeks and his return to action is still some way off.

“Giménez is progressing well, but he is still far from returning,” Allegri concluded.

“We’ll talk about it again in March, towards the end of March.”
