Panthers 4, Hurricanes 2

A full Lenovo center witnessed the first two periods for Carolina hurricanes, since the pre -season annual community game was an exciting success. Unfortunately, the goalkeeper’s lack of depth was also exhibited when the Panthers roared of a 2-0 deficit to take the 4-2 game.

The tickets were general admission to only $ 10 more rates with fans capable of sitting anywhere, and fans took advantage of as each section completed. The atmosphere sounded closer to an important regular season game. The Panthers played their role in sending a list that probably will not have regular NHL clients. Meanwhile, the hurricanes had their probable top line of ah-ehlers-Jarvis starting, as well as Jesperi Kotkaniemi focusing a line with Andrei Svechnikov and the best prospect Brady Nadeau. Both lines were shown, although only one could write down.

The dogs surpassed the 17-3 Panthers in the first period, scored twice and had approximately three minutes in a row in the power game with a solid minute of 5 against 3. The goalkeeper of the Panthers, Daniil Tarasov, kept the dogs out of the score sheet during the power set, but could not stop them the entire period.

Six minutes later, Svechnikov fed a great pass from the board behind the goal to an open Kotkaniemi who did not hesitate to shoot, receiving it for Tarasov. It was good to see early chemistry, since the central position number two is that one of the fans watch, and if Kotkaniemi can continue producing, he would answer many questions. The canes entered the locker room after the first UP 2-0.

The second period was a bit more disarticulated since the dogs were called for their first two penalties of the night, and death did the work by keeping the Panthers out of the board. At the end of the second, the dogs had another opportunity for the advantage of man and again they had a couple of good appearance, but they could not connect. During two periods, the dogs had a shooting advantage of 35-8, but still led by a 2-0 score.

It seemed that Andersen was going to play the whole game, but some action at the end of the second ended his night, and Amir Miftakov relieved him for the third, which is where the game went to the south for the dogs. After the game, coach Rod toast’amour said that the plan was just to play half of the game, but his lack of action required him to finish the period.

The dogs began the third with another empty game: they go 0-5 at night. Not long after, Ben Harpur, Noah Gregor and Michael Benning scored to change the game for the Panthers. Gregor’s goal was perhaps the most atrocious, since he left an extravagant game behind the network from Miftakov, and the album landed right on Gregor’s stick for a net empty goal. Benning was able to put one on the line to give the advantage to the Panthers, and then, when the dogs took Miftakov, Jack Studnicka was attributed an empty netter when a clear came to the cage.

In general, many positive aspects for dogs and the crowd entertained themselves, but there will be a lot to look for since the third period.

The dogs are in action next Friday night in Tampa before finishing the local preseason against Nashville on Sunday.
