Last week, Steichen was asked about Richardson and said at the time that he was “hopeful” he could return this season. However, no specific timetable for a possible return was ever mentioned.
According to Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan, Steichen also mentioned last week that Richardson was working in the weight room, but was not doing any field work at the time.
Steichen would also confirm on Monday that Daniel Jones suffered a torn right Achilles tendon. He will have surgery in a week.
Riley Leonard, who took over at quarterback in Jacksonville after Jones left the game, is “working through” a right knee injury, Steichen said.
