US packaging and printing company SunDance has expanded its in-house packaging production with the addition of an HP Indigo 200K digital press.
According to the company, the press will increase capacity for flexible packaging wrappers, custom pouches and pressure-sensitive labels.
The new system also aims to help meet demand for shorter lead times and enable work on larger packaging orders that have previously pushed the limits of digital printing.
SunDance President JohnHenry Ruggieri said: “For product marketers, packaging is as important as the product itself.
“Given intense competition for in-store and virtual shelf space, eye-catching flexible packaging and stunning custom bags are essential to sales success.”
The company said that over the past six years, HP Indigo technology has improved the appearance and wear performance of flexible packaging and has continued to contribute to developments in that segment, including the pouch category.
HP said many of its customers are seeing annual growth in print volume of up to 40% due to changes in printing speed and capacity.
SunDance said the facility is part of its continued investment in printing and packaging operations and production in the United States.
He added that the press fits with its sustainability approach by reducing excess stock and production waste.
The company recently expanded its manufacturing facility to support acquisitions including the HP Indigo press and the Heidelberg Versafire LV. More updates are planned in the coming months.
Founded in 2007, SunDance offers multi-channel marketing services including design, printing, packaging and related operations.
In September 2025, SunDance launched a cube-shaped bag, POUCH³, which reduces material use by 30% compared to traditional stand-up bags.
