Alisson Becker, Conor Bradley, Wataru Endō and Giovanni Leoni remain out of Saturday’s game, and the defensive unit remains under pressure throughout the season.

Regarding Alisson, the coach is optimistic about his soon return, although not during the weekend: “Now we still don’t have any players back, but Alisson is working hard to find his way back to the team, which is really positive. But he won’t be in the team yet this weekend.”

Arne Slot is also concerned about the availability of Jeremie Frimpong and Joe Gomez, both available right-backs.

In positive news, Alexander Isak’s return is certainly a bright spot amidst the darkness, with the forward spending 15 minutes in Paris.

“Alex being available for us again is vital, of course, because I said many times here that it was difficult for us to convert chances into goals and he has been a goalscorer all his life. We didn’t have chances against Paris, but in all the other games we have had a lot of chances.

“So having him back is really nice. It was only 15 minutes, but it’s good to have him back. Hopefully we can make progress in those minutes and he can get back to his form as soon as possible.”

“Last time, of course, it took him a while, which is completely normal, but now we hope that after the great rehab he’s already had, with the people we’re having in rehab, we can get him quicker to the level we want him to be at.”

He should get some minutes against Fulham as we hope he quickly regains fitness for the shoot-in.
