Los Angeles (AP) – Los Angeles hall was evacuated after a car collided with the building’s steps on Friday afternoon and the driver later was transferred to the police seizure, the Los Angeles Hall.

After about two hours of the accident, the driver can be seen out of the car and walking with his arms raised towards a police line and firefighters. Then he was handcuffed.

There were no immediate reports on injuries, according to the police. The mayor, Karen Bass, said in a post on the social platform X that the grenade division of the Los Angeles Police Department had reached the crash site, although it also said that the situation was “solved safely.”

She previously said that the city hall was “out of an abundance of caution.”

The police responded to the reports after 4 pm about the traffic collision, according to Charles Miller, a spokesman for LAPD. Then they worked in contact with the driver. The circumstances that led to the accident were not immediately clear.

A video clip taken from the news helicopters shortly after the accident shows the driver in the front seat and a tick of cardboard in the window that reads, “I need to help you” and a reference to President Donald Trump.

“Thank you to all the brave respondents who solved this situation safely with mercy and urgency,” said Bass on X.
