The 2025 NFL season has been pretty light on weird Romo moments so far, aside from his unnatural wail unleashed on spectators during the Kansas City Chiefs-Buffalo Bills matchup in Week 9. However, on Sunday, Romo made a rather awkward mistake with some bad writing that he attempted to turn into clever football analysis.
While talking about the New England Patriots and their strong fundamentals during their game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Romo called the team “DTF” in a completely strange moment. Romo then specified his acronym, which means “details, hardness and finish.”
Nantz and Romo laughed during the moment after the fact, but that’s… not what the acronym normally means! Romo clearly didn’t mean it. that way, but that was definitely a bad choice of words.
