Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), the social media firm founded by the president of the United States, Donald Trump, has held agreements with institutional investors to collect approximately $ 2.5 billion. The funds are intended for the creation of a Bitcoin Treasury, according to a statement published by the company on Tuesday.

The Bitcoin planned reserve marks a significant strategic change for the media company and could position it as a key player in the cryptographic sector. When establishing a digital asset treasure, TMTG is adopting Bitcoin as a value warehouse and pointing out its intention to participate in the decentralized financial landscape.
