Honolulu (Khon2) – Maui’s lifeguards are working to address a fire in Paia that has led to evacuation orders and warnings in multiple areas.

Mema officials said the brush fire was reported just before 1:30 pm near Holomua Road and Baldwin Avenue.

Those in evacuation zones are urged to leave immediately. The authorities said that the evacuations and evacuations of door at the door through EAS, Wea, Genesys, Mema and Sirens alerts are occurring.

Baldwin Avenue and Holomua Road have been closed by fire fighting efforts. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
